The Christ the King Fall Festival is one of those events that gives students, parents, alumni, and neighbors a chance to spend time together outside the usual school-day routine. For families who return each year, it has become a familiar part of the fall and an opportunity to reconnect with people they may not see every day.
This year, Knowles Law Firm is proud to sponsor the festival on Saturday, September 26, 2026. Our connection to Christ the King is personal because our own families are part of the community, which makes supporting an event they enjoy alongside other local families especially meaningful to us.
A Family Connection to Christ the King
For attorneys Benjamin Knowles and Matthew Knowles, the connection to Christ the King is a personal one. Both brothers have children who attend the school, and they will be at this year’s Fall Festival with their families while representing Knowles Law Firm as a sponsor.
The Fall Festival is also not the first Christ the King event our family has supported. We have been involved with smaller gatherings throughout the year, including events over the summer. Sponsoring the festival gives us another opportunity to support a school community that our families are already part of and spend time with the students, parents, and neighbors who make these events possible.
What Community Involvement Means to Us
Knowles Law Firm has been family-owned since James Knowles, Sr. founded the firm nearly 60 years ago. Every attorney at the firm is still a member of the Knowles family today, and many of the communities we serve are also the places where we live, raise our families, and spend our time outside the office. Over the years, that has given us plenty of opportunities to get involved locally:
- Schools and families: With our own children attending local schools, events like the Christ the King Fall Festival are often already on our family calendars.
- Local events: We enjoy taking part in gatherings that bring together families from Omaha, Bellevue, Lincoln, and nearby communities.
- Time together: Community events give us a chance to step outside the office and spend time with people we might otherwise only meet in passing.
- Familiar traditions: Returning to events throughout the year means seeing familiar faces and getting to know more of the people around us.
For us, the Christ the King Fall Festival is another chance to spend time with a community our families are already part of, and we are looking forward to being there again this September.
Why Family Businesses Show Up for Their Communities
Research on family and community engagement backs up what we have felt for years. A Harvard Graduate School of Education review of family and community engagement found that when families and local organizations stay actively involved with schools, students benefit both academically and socially, and those benefits ripple outward into the broader community.
That kind of ripple effect is exactly what we hope to be part of every time we sponsor an event like this one. It is not just about the afternoon itself, but about the trust that builds over years of showing up consistently for the same schools and the same neighbors.
55 Years of Building Relationships in Omaha
We have spent 55 years building relationships across the Omaha and Council Bluffs area, and we know that a community’s strength depends on the people and organizations willing to invest in it consistently. We bring the same values to a courtroom, fighting for a client after a serious accident, and to a school field, cheering on a silent auction.
Showing up, following through, and treating people like neighbors rather than case numbers matters to us in every setting, and that consistency is part of what has kept our firm rooted in this community for nearly six decades. Many of the families we have represented over the years describe that same sense of trust in our client testimonials, which reflect the kind of relationship we hope to build with every client and every neighbor.
